The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to recognize individuals who have obtained knowledge and experience in project management. The purpose and goal of this project management certification program is the development, maintenance, evaluation, promotion, and administration of a rigorous, examination-based, professional certification program of the highest caliber.
The PMP Program supports the international community of project management professionals and is designed to objectively assess and measure professional knowledge. PMP Program requirements and eligibility standards are applied fairly, impartially, and consistently with applicable laws.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who is planning to take the PMP Exam. Please review the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK, Third Edition) before the workshop, and bring it to each class. (This can be ordered through the PMI Bookstore. You may also purchase one at the first class at the Chapter's reduced rate.
This workshop is based on the PMBOK Third Edition.
The Workshop
All nine areas of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) are covered: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Contracts and Procurement, Risk, Communications, Human Resources, and Integration, as well as Professional Responsibility. Updated information on the current exam format and certification process is provided.
The Instructor
All instructors are certified, practicing project managers or consultants, chosen for their knowledge of the PMBOK and their presentation abilities. They are a team of experienced professionals from our local Chapter. They provide a blend of backgrounds from several companies and varying industries to deliver a broad spectrum of perspectives to project management challenges.
